North and South Course Development
In an effort to develop rowing and canoekayak in the Niagara Region and in Canada, the WRCC through the creation of the WIFC has and continues dedicating considerable time and resources to develop plans, provide means and opportunities to develop both courses and deliver permanent club, storage, training, physiotherapy, and regatta facilities.

Program Development
The programs and events promoted by the WIFC are self -sustaining projects that encourage a broad range of participation. Programs offered by member clubs target a wide range of ages and athletic abilities, from youth camps starting as young as eight (8) years of age to extensive masters (over 27) programs.

Sponsorship & Support
WRCC provides direct support to National Rowing and National Canoekayak athletes, coaches and programs. We welcome support that allows us to boost our position on the international scene. There are many exciting opportunities for nationally and locally based firms to support the WIFC and connect with athletes, coaches, officials, spectators and parents. Flatwater sports continue to be a great source of pride for Canadians as our athletes consistently bring home Olympic, World Cup, Pan American and Commonwealth GOLD in these very demanding and respected disciplines.

Community Based Participation
We work at developing and delivering community based programs and events with the belief that, through sport, we can contribute in ways that will strengthen our surrounding communities. Through our clubs, we have and currently partner with the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of America, local elementary schools, local high schools, and municipal summer camps.
